Cookies & storage.
SiteFX sets no cookies and no tracking unless you allow Google Analytics. This page lists everything the site keeps on your device, why it keeps it, for how long, and how to clear it.

01
Cookies
Unless you allow analytics, no cookies are set. If you choose Allow, Google Analytics sets the two cookies below. There is no advertising, no social media plugins and no fingerprinting, and the server doesn’t send cookies.
| Name | Set by | What it does | For how long |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Tells one visitor from another | Up to 2 years |
| _ga_KWQ4S4CPFS | Google Analytics | Keeps track of a visit | Up to 2 years |
02
What stays on your device
A few small notes are kept in your browser’s own storage so the controls you use keep working. They never leave your device: they are not sent to us or anyone else.
| Name | Kept in | What it remembers | For how long |
|---|---|---|---|
| sitefx-theme | Local storage | Ink, Bone or Volt, if you pick a theme | Until you clear it |
| sitefx-motion | Local storage | That you switched motion off | Until you clear it |
| sitefx-consent | Local storage | Your answer about analytics | Until you clear it |
| sitefx-booted | Session storage | That the boot screen has played this visit | Until you close the tab |
| sitefx-radio | Session storage | The radio station, and whether it was playing | Until you close the tab |
Each one exists only to make a feature you used work. Analytics is different, which is why it stays off until you allow it.
03
Third parties
Fonts, scripts and images are served from sitefx.app itself, so visiting the site doesn’t send your details to font services, code CDNs or anyone else.
Google Analytics, only if you allow it. Your browser then loads Google’s script from googletagmanager.com and sends Google usage data: the pages you view, your device and browser type, your approximate location, how you reached the site, and which offers you ask about or prompts you copy. It never receives your name, your email or what you type into a form. We use it to see how the site is used. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off. Google may process this data outside the EU, and its privacy policy applies.
The radio. When you press play, your browser connects to Vanilla Radio’s streaming server (vanillaradio.com), which, like any server, receives your IP address. Nothing connects until you press play, and pausing closes the connection.
Links to other sites, such as the studios behind SiteFX, take you to pages with their own policies.
04
Server logs
Like any website, the server that delivers SiteFX records basic technical logs, such as IP address, time, the file requested and browser type, to keep the service secure and running. We don’t use them to profile or follow anyone.
05
Your controls
This is what SiteFX has stored on this device right now:
Reading…
You can turn analytics on or off here at any time. Turning it off removes its cookies. Your browser’s settings can also clear site data at any time. If your device asks for reduced motion, SiteFX follows it automatically.
06
Inquiries
Every button that asks something of us opens the inquiry form. When you press Send, what you typed (your name, email, optional studio and website, your message and the choices you made) goes to our server, which emails it to slay@sitefx.app and keeps no copy. We use it only to answer you.
To stop floods of spam, the server keeps a one-way hash of your IP address for 24 hours, then deletes it. The hash cannot be turned back into your address and is never linked to your inquiry.

If anything here changes, the date at the top changes with it. Questions about this page: send us a question.
